Principal

Thomas DiBlasi is Principal of DiBlasi Associates, P.C., a structural engineering firm based in Monroe, Connecticut. As Principal of the firm, he is ultimately responsible for meeting the client's expectations as to schedule, budget and quality, from the schematic design through to completed construction.

Mr. DiBlasi received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He is a registered professional engineer in twelve states.

He has engineered a wide array of projects including private and public schools, higher education facilities, office buildings, data centers, cogeneration power plants, commercial and municipal facilities, parking structures and multi-family residential projects. He has participated in the evaluation and rehabilitation of existing structures, and he has performed structural peer reviews on numerous projects.

Mr. DiBlasi recently spearheaded the production of “Recommended Guidelines for Performing an Independent Structural Engineering Review in the State of Connecticut”. He was also a contributing author to the “Connecticut Construction Guidelines”. He has lectured on a variety of topics including Structural Peer Review, Special Inspections and Earthquake Design Fundamentals.
