Foundation Design Using IBC Chapter 18
In the 2009 International Building Code (IBC), Chapter 18 (Soils and Foundations) has been rewritten in its entirety.
There are a few important technical changes, but most of the rewrite focuses on eliminating conflict, improving clarity,
and coordinating better with current resource documents, nomenclature, and construction practices. This seminar will
address the geotechnical investigation, structural analysis, design, detailing, and special inspection requirements for
foundations as defined in Chapter 18 (and related sections) of the 2009 IBC.
The cost is $250 per internet connection. Several people may attend for one connection fee.
This course will award 1.5 hours of continuing education.
The times will be 10:00 Pacific, 11:00 Mountain, 12:00 Central, and 1:00 Eastern
