NCSEA Young Member Awards

Young Member Summit Scholarship

Annually, NCSEA offers scholarships to young members to cover the costs of attending the Structural Engineering Summit  provided by the NCSEA Foundation, which includes all educational sessions, access to the exhibit hall, welcome reception, exhibit hall happy hour the SEE Awards Celebration, as well as a travel stipend of $1,000 generously provided by Computers & Structures, Inc. to use toward transportation and hotel costs.

To qualify for a scholarship, the applicant must be:

• 35 years of age and younger
• A current member of an NCSEA Structural Engineers Association (SEA)

Young Member Group of the Year

Each year, NCSEA recognizes three outstanding Young Member Groups (YMGs) at the Structural Engineering Summit. These awards celebrate YMGs affiliated with NCSEA Member Organizations that demonstrate excellence in advancing their members, supporting their Structural Engineering Associations (SEAs), and making a positive impact in their communities.

Award categories are determined annually by the Young Member Support Committee based on applications, creating opportunities for both established and emerging groups to be recognized.

Three winning YMGs will be honored at the Summit, where their award categories will be announced live. Each winning group receives complimentary Summit registration provided by the NCSEA Foundation for one representative, a $1,000 travel stipend, and a $500–$1,000 award to support future YMG activities. Travel stipends are generously sponsored by Computers & Structures, Inc.
