AI Plan Checking for Structural Engineers: From Manual QA/QC to Faster, Smarter Project Reviews by InspectMind – Free STRUCTURE Sponsored Webinar
June 17, 2026 | Wed 12:00 America/Chicago
Duration: 1.0 Hour
$
Structural engineering teams are under increasing pressure to deliver faster, reduce rework, and maintain high-quality QA/QC across every project. In this session, InspectMind will demonstrate how AI-powered plan checking can help structural engineers review drawings and specifications, identify coordination gaps, catch inconsistencies, flag potential code-related issues, and surface risks before submission.
This webinar will build on the March 18 session and focus more deeply on practical implementation: how firms can use AI as part of their internal review workflow, where AI is most useful today, what types of issues it can help catch, and how engineering teams can evaluate results effectively. We will show examples of AI-assisted drawing review, cross-discipline coordination checks, drawing-versus-spec comparisons, and workflows firms can use to save time while improving consistency and reducing downstream risk.
- There are no continuing education credits being offered for this presentation.
- This webinar will be recorded and made available on the STRUCTURE website.

Speakers:

Aakash Prasad is the Co-Founder and CEO of InspectMind AI, a Y Combinator–backed company building AI tools for engineering teams. Having previously founded architecture and engineering firms, he experienced firsthand how manual QA/QC processes create downstream risk and liability. He now focuses on helping structural firms use AI to standardize quality, reduce rework, and improve project delivery.

Shuangling Yin is the Co-Founder and CTO of InspectMind AI, where she leads AI model architecture and product engineering. With a background in large-scale software systems from CMU, Google and AirBnB, she specializes in applying large language models and computer vision to complex technical documents. At InspectMind, she focuses on building reliable, production-grade AI systems tailored for structural engineering workflows.
