Engineering Durable Concrete Structures: Repair, Strengthening, and Ground Improvement by MAPEI – Free STRUCTURE Sponsored Webinar
October 22, 2025 | Wed 12:00 America/Chicago
Duration: 1.0 Hour
$
Concrete structures—whether historic landmarks or everyday infrastructure—face inevitable challenges over their service life. This presentation will explore a range of structural strengthening methods and concrete repair techniques, with a focus on how engineers can select and implement the right solutions for both new construction and rehabilitation projects. Attendees will gain insight from real-world case studies, including the rehabilitation of Notre Dame Cathedral, preservation efforts at the Roman Colosseum, and practical applications for parking garages, bridges and powerplants.
In addition to repair and strengthening, the session will address the critical roles of waterproofing and soil stabilization for ground improvement and the prevention of structural failures.
By the end of this webinar, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of proven methods, lessons learned from iconic to everyday projects, and practical tools for specifying and designing durable repair solutions.
- There is no continuing education credit being offered for this presentation.
- This webinar will be recorded and made available on the STRUCTURE website.
