Networking does not always have to happen in a conference room. The MNSEA Young Members Group recently took a more active approach by hosting a pickleball social designed to connect members with their local Simpson Strong-Tie representative.

The mix of friendly competition and casual conversation made it easy for attendees to connect both on and off the court. Games kept the energy high, while post-match drinks gave everyone a chance to continue the conversation in a relaxed setting.

The result was simple but impactful. New connections were formed, relationships were strengthened, and members had the opportunity to engage with an industry partner in a more approachable way.

Events like this show that meaningful networking can come from keeping things simple and fun. Has your YMG planned a networking activity like pickleball, bowling, golf, or another shared activity? Be like MNSEA YMG and give it a try!
