The National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) is pleased to announce its 2026-2027 Board of Directors, who will lead the organization’s efforts to advance the structural engineering profession. Each term begins April 1 and concludes March 31 of the following year. 

Leadership Transitions and New Board Members

Brian Petruzzi, P.E., of Meta and Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington, serves as the new President of the NCSEA Board, bringing a diversity of experience to the position.

Ken O’Dell, S.E., of MHP, Inc. Structural Engineers and the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California will transition into the role of Vice President, while Michelle Ryland, S.E., RA, of Klein & Hoffman, Inc. and Structural Engineers Association of Illinois, will begin her first year as Secretary.

Cervente D. Sudduth, P.E., ENV SP, of DuBois Consultants, Inc. and the Structural Engineers Association of Kansas & Missouri, will continue to serve as Treasurer, and Andrew Lovenstein, P.E., S.I., of J. S. Held LLC and Florida Structural Engineers Association, will serve as Senior Director.

A special thank-you goes to Jami Lorenz, P.E., of Haselden Construction and the Structural Engineers Association of Montana, for her dedicated service as President of the Board. As she transitions into the role of NCSEA Past President, her leadership and commitment have helped shape and support the direction of the organization.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Christopher Cerino, P.E., of STV, Inc. and Structural Engineers Association of New York, as he concludes his service on the Board. His thoughtful guidance and steady leadership have advanced the profession and strengthened NCSEA’s core values.

The 2026-2027 Board also welcomes two new Directors to its ranks: Kelsey Parolini, P.E., S.E., of Buehler and Structural Engineers Association of California/Structural Engineers Association of California, and J. Benjamin Alper, P.E., S.E., of Severud Associates Consulting Engineers and Structural Engineers Association of New York. They join current Directors Andrea Reynolds, P.E., S.E. of SmithGroup and Structural Engineers Association of Michigan, and Chad Mitchell, P.E., of SmithGroup and Structural Engineers Association of Colorado.

Looking Forward

The new Board is poised to continue NCSEA’s mission. NCSEA remains committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional development across the structural engineering community.
