The Structural Engineers Association of Massachusetts (SEAMASS) Young Members Group (YMG) will host its annual PE/SE Licensure Seminar on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at McNamara Salvia in Boston, MA.

Designed for engineers who are considering or preparing for licensure in Massachusetts, the seminar will provide an overview of the Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) licenses. Topics will include the advantages and key differences between the two paths, application and exam processes, and ongoing licensure requirements, with a focus on Massachusetts-specific considerations.

The session will be led by three recently licensed professionals—two PEs and one SE—who will share both technical guidance and personal insights from their licensure journeys. The program will conclude with a live Q&A session, and a remote call-in option will be available for those unable to attend in person.

Programs like this seminar play an important role in supporting professional development and providing emerging engineers with practical, experience-based guidance. To receive event updates and registration information, interested participants are encouraged to sign up through the SEAMASS website: https://www.seamass.org/membership/join-seamass.html.
