We welcome submissions from practicing structural engineers, firm leaders, educators, researchers, and industry professionals with relevant experience and insight to share. Submissions may come from individuals, teams, or co-presenters.

We are seeking sessions that provide practical, applicable value to structural engineers. Successful proposals typically focus on real-world challenges, lessons learned, and tools engineers can use in their work, teams, or firms.

Both technical and non-technical topics are encouraged.

Proposals may address a wide range of subjects, including:

• Structural materials (concrete, masonry, steel, wood)

• Codes, standards, and best-design practices

• Technology and innovation (including AI and emerging tools)

• Advanced analysis techniques

• Management, leadership, and business practices

• Ethics and professional responsibility

• Resilience and sustainability

• Case studies and applied learning

If your topic helps structural engineers work more effectively, efficiently, or confidently, it is likely a good fit.

The deadline for submissions is April 3 at 11:59 pm CT for general sessions and March 6 at 11:59 pm CT for pre-conference topics.

Strong abstracts clearly explain:

• The problem or opportunity being addressed

• Why the topic matters to practicing structural engineers

• What attendees will learn

• How the content can be applied in practice

Clarity and practicality are key.

Most education sessions are lecture-style presentations, though proposals that lend themselves to case-based learning, interactive discussion, or applied insight are welcome. Final session formats will be confirmed after selection.

All abstracts are reviewed by the NCSEA Education Committee, which evaluates proposals based on relevance, clarity, applicability, and alignment with Summit goals.

Speakers will be notified of acceptance by June 2026.
