Entertainment
San Francisco’s theater district is right outside your door. The historic Curran Theater and the American Conservatory Theater host everything from Broadway blockbusters to intimate local productions, and the SHN Orpheum offers large-scale musicals in a stunning Beaux-Arts setting. For live music and nightlife, venues like Feinstein’s at the Nikko and the Black Cat Jazz Supper Club deliver unforgettable performances just blocks away. And before you call it a night, head up to Cityscape — the hotel’s own sky bar sits 46 stories above Union Square with 360-degree views and locally inspired craft cocktails.

Dining
Union Square puts an extraordinary range of restaurants within easy walking distance. For a classic San Francisco night out, John’s Grill — a 1908 institution just a 6-minute walk away — serves hearty steaks and fresh seafood in a wood-paneled room steeped in Maltese Falcon lore. Craving something lighter or more eclectic? The Thonglor, just a block from the hotel, is a tiny Thai spot with a pad thai that regulars keep coming back for, alongside richly spiced curries and a papaya salad with serious heat. For a splurge-worthy dinner, Sons & Daughters — a 10-minute walk — offers a hyper-seasonal California tasting menu with Michelin recognition.
