The Academia-Practice Partnerships (APP) Committee strives to improve structural engineering education for college students and engineers-in-training. These efforts advance NCSEA’s mission to support structural engineers in becoming highly qualified professionals and successful leaders.
The Committee realizes this purpose through the following initiatives:
- Fostering college student and practitioner engagement at the state-level Structural Engineers Associations (SEAs)
- Promoting courses, skills, and student-learning outcomes necessary for successful transitions from college student to professional engineer
- Connecting engineers-in-training with resources to broaden their skill sets and achieve licensure
- Collaborating with complementary organizations such as AISC Partners-in-Education and the SEI Committee on the Reform of Structural Engineering Education (CROSEE) on resources for college students and engineers-in-training
Engineering Educators: we want your feedback! Please fill out the survey below to help us evaluate the availability of structural engineering coursework. (Approximately 15 minutes to complete the required portion of the survey)
