The Structural Engineering Emergency Response (SEER) Committee advances NCSEA’s commitment to supporting a resilient built environment by promoting the expeditious post-disaster recovery of communities through building safety evaluations.
The Committee realizes this purpose through the following initiatives:
- Advocating for robust and appropriate regulations for statewide emergencies in coordination with national organizations, local jurisdictions, and Structural Engineers Associations
- Educating structural engineers through NCSEA committees on proper roles and responsibilities of second responders
- Coordinating with nationwide state groups and structural engineers on technical resources

- Complete an application
- Add your information to the ICC/NCSEA Disaster Response Alliance Volunteer Database
- Obtain a CalOES SAP or ICC DR certification
