The Structural Licensure Committee advances NCSEA’s commitment to the profession by recognizing the unique responsibility structural engineers have in protecting the safety, health, and welfare of the public.
The Committee realizes this purpose by:
- Supporting Structural Engineers Associations pursuing structural engineering licensure
- Promoting structural engineering licensure through education
- Collaborating with the Structural Engineering Licensure Coalition (SELC), the Participating Organization Liaison Council (POLC), and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES)
- Encouraging consistent licensing laws and regulations among all jurisdictions
- Assisting with advancement of the NCEES Structural Engineering examination
- Supporting individuals who want to become licensed structural engineers
