The Communications Committee advances the presence, influence, and leadership of NCSEA’s members and the structural engineering profession at-large by promoting the vision, mission, image, and credibility of NCSEA. Internally, the committee facilitates collaboration across the national footprint of NCSEA and shares established best practices for advancing engagement within the Structural Engineers Associations (SEAs). Externally, the committee works to establish NCSEA as a national voice for building awareness of the structural engineering profession within the global building industry.
The committee realizes this purpose through the following initiatives:
- Advancing the Committee’s support of NCSEA’s vision through the We SEE Above & Beyond Campaign and affiliated initiatives
- Expanding public awareness and outreach efforts through pipeline development in collaboration with other national structural engineering organizations, such as CASE and SEI
- Maintaining the conduit between SEAs and NCSEA through multiple avenues of collaboration and support
- Providing feedback and assistance to NCSEA staff for staff-led efforts, including the NCSEA Connect webinar series
